Sorbic Acid

Sorbic acid

Sorbic acid is a short-chain unsaturated fatty acid also used as a food preservative. In cosmetics, it works best in a slightly acidic environment and is often combined with other preservatives to protect the product against a broader range of microorganisms.

Thanks to it, a water-based cosmetic stays fresh throughout its use. In our range, you will find it in our shampoo, scalp serum and foundations.

Did you know?: Sorbic acid was discovered in rowan berries (Sorbus aucuparia), from which it takes its name.
