The brand was founded on 3 September 2013 by two sisters - Ania Bieluń and Ula Ośmiałowska - in a small town on the western coast of Poland. We started out with handmade natural soaps. Today, more than a decade later, we run our own cosmetics laboratory with dozens of original formulas, two bricks-and-mortar shops and a team of over 20 people.
The same workshop, the same team, the same values - a new chapter for a brand that grew from a soap manufactory into a full-scale cosmetics laboratory.
Our own laboratory and collaboration with leading cosmetic formulators mean that Ministerstwo. is constantly exploring the frontiers of modern skincare, combining the effectiveness of science with an obsession with nature.

Born in '86. A clinical psychologist by training, and for many years a journalist and photographer by profession.
At Ministerstwo. she is responsible for formulas, product development and liaising with laboratories and strategic partners. In her own words, she generates "a billion ideas a minute" - which Ula filters very effectively.
Ula Ośmiałowska
Co-founder · Workshop and production
Born in '94. The youngest businesswoman we know - she co-founded Ministerstwo at the age of 19.
She manages the workshop and the production process, keeping a watchful eye on the quality of every batch. She tames the chaos generated by Ania with true professionalism.

Yes. Ministerstwo. is the new, shortened name of the Ministerstwo Dobrego Mydła brand, which has been around since 2013. We have changed our name and visual identity, but the team, the workshop in Kamień Pomorski and the philosophy remain the same.
Along with the name change, we have expanded our range with advanced cosmetic formulas, Careup make-up and Piegi eco-friendly glitters.
The philosophy of Ministerstwo. rests on three pillars: concentrated formulas with high, research-backed concentrations of active ingredients; comfort and pleasure of use - highly natural formulas with captivating aromas composed by perfumers from all over the world; and aesthetics and safety - biophotonic and apothecary glass that protects highly active formulas.
These are advanced cream and serum formulas that nourish, soothe, hydrate and smooth the skin, while also supporting its regeneration and protecting it from external conditions.
The Ministerstwo. range includes both concentrated, synergistic compositions - cosmetic bombshells packed with the knowledge and experience of chemists - and single-ingredient skincare: plant oils, hydrosols (floral mists) and individual active ingredients.
A real gem is our sugarcane squalane - a natural, ultra-light, odourless and colourless, deeply hydrating oil that works perfectly both in place of a face cream (especially for sensitive and allergy-prone skin) and as a serum for nails and hair ends, or as a booster added to lighter creams before application.
None of the above. Careup is a completely new category. It is a line of foundations that care for the skin "like a cream", without actually being a cream, as BB products are.
These are rich foundations with a "dewy" feel that, once applied with fingers, a brush or a sponge, "melt" into the skin and become one with it, with no mask effect. The rich formula nourishes and hydrates the skin while remaining a make-up product with medium coverage and a glow finish.
