Sodium Cocoate

Saponified coconut oil

Sodium Cocoate is coconut oil that has combined with an alkali during saponification and turned into soap. The finished bar contains no lye - just this fatty acid salt and the glycerin naturally formed in the process.

In soap, coconut oil is responsible for a rich, creamy lather and effective cleansing. We blend it with other saponified oils and butters so the bar is both long-lasting and gentle on the skin. You'll find it in our natural and exfoliating soaps.

Did you know?: Coconut oil soap lathers even in salt water, which is why it was once used on ships as "sailor's soap".
