All our soaps are handcrafted products. The ingredients are combined by hand, poured into wooden moulds, hand-cut and stamped, or threaded onto strings (in some cases). As a result, they may differ slightly from one another in both colour and shape (depending on the batch). The recipe we use ensures they are gentle on the skin while lathering well and lasting a long time. Between uses, however, please keep them away from water - on a draining soap dish or a rack.

The percentage of ingredients of natural origin is given to approximately 1 decimal place and may change based on updates to ISO standards.

To make sure the products you receive are always fresh, we only send cosmetics with a shelf life of more than 6 months (excluding bath bombs and samples, which have a minimum of 3 months). This does not apply to products marked as "Outlet" or "Short date".

The photos show sample arrangements featuring the product. The price does not include decorative elements and applies to 1 unit of the product described.

A delicately scented soap. And those tiny calendula petals inside. It cares for dry hands. It makes you want to wash them again and again. This is already my next bar.

My favourite of the MDM soaps. I love them all, but this one is the best for my skin. I'm not the only one who loves these soaps - my family often gets them as gifts and they're all fans

A very pleasant, gentle soap. It contains no artificial fragrances. It has a very light, natural scent. It doesn't dry out or irritate. The calendula petals add to its charm. I highly recommend it to people with sensitive, atopic skin

FAQ

Questions and answers about the product

Can I wash my face with your soaps?

This is a tricky question, so allow us to answer it in a little more detail. Soaps (both bar and liquid) are designed mainly for body care because of their higher, alkaline pH, which can weaken the delicate protective barrier of facial skin. Due to its special structure and slightly acidic pH, facial skin needs gentler care. In our knowledge and experience, products with a pH below alkaline are recommended here. For any skin type, soap may unfortunately do more harm than good. Because it has an alkaline pH, it raises the pH of facial skin, which can lead to dryness, an unpleasant tight feeling, or excess sebum production and breakouts. Of course, this is very individual - some of our customers can't imagine washing their face with anything other than soap (e.g. our charcoal soap), but we always kindly remind them to use a toner or hydrosol afterwards to bring the skin's pH back to its proper level. Our soaps are exceptionally gentle - most of our recipes are superfatted by a few percent. This means a few percent of the oils and butters remain unchanged, caring for the skin as you wash. Still, the face is an especially delicate area that needs particular attention and care. To find out whether our soap suits your face, simply give it a try: lather it in your hands and gently massage the foam onto your face in circular motions, avoiding the eye and mouth area. Then rinse with lukewarm water and apply a toner/hydrosol. If your skin doesn't feel dry or tight - everything is working as it should :)

How long does a 100 g bar of soap last?
That's a tough one! How quickly a bar gets used up depends on how many people use it and how often. When a bar sits on a soap dish by the sink in a single person's home and is stored well (which in practice means not leaving it soaking in water), it usually lasts more than a month. Our soaps are very long-lasting.
Are your soaps good for washing hair?

The real question here is: "Is soap good for washing hair at all?". Yes, you can successfully wash your hair with soap. Keep in mind, however, that soap is by nature an alkaline product. It opens the hair cuticles well and removes impurities effectively. Unfortunately, it doesn't close the cuticles again. This isn't a problem for short hair or dreadlocks (for dreadlocks it's actually beneficial). If you have long hair, however, open cuticles can make hair feel stiff and cause breakage. In that case, remember to occasionally use a rinse after washing, made from one tablespoon of wine or apple cider vinegar mixed with a glass of lukewarm water. This rinse closes the cuticles, leaving hair softer.

Can I wash children with your soaps?
Of course! Take a look at our range of super-gentle soaps. These recipes contain 10% unrefined shea butter and 6% unsaponified oils and butters - they are truly very gentle. However, as far as we know, in the first weeks or even months of a baby's life, washing young skin with soap is generally unnecessary, apart from the nappy area. Plain warm water with a few drops of oil (e.g. sweet almond oil) and a spoonful of mother's milk works much better. Above all, babies need their skin protected and cared for. Older kids, on the other hand (unless they have diagnosed skin allergies), can be scrubbed with most of our soaps. Pineapple soaps are especially popular with children - they lather well and smell amazing. Carrots with a bird are also a favourite.
Do your soaps go mushy or soft on the soap dish?

Our soaps are formulated to go soft on the soap dish as little as possible - but a lot depends on how they are stored.

We recommend using soap dishes with a hole or holes that let water drain freely, so the soap can dry out and won't dissolve :)

If you still have concerns, we recommend our Rosemary or Lavender soap. These soaps come on a string, so they don't need to sit in a soap dish - you can hang them anywhere in the bathroom, e.g. on the tap or on a handle next to the shower or bath.

Do your soaps dry out the skin? Which of your soaps is the most moisturising?

Please remember that traditional bar soap, as a strong cleansing product with an alkaline pH, will never moisturise the skin :( Its job is to remove excess sebum, sweat and other impurities from the skin's surface, which may disrupt the natural hydrolipid barrier. However, our range includes Calendula and Rice soaps - products designed for sensitive skin. They cleanse just as effectively, but thanks to a higher amount of unsaponified oils and butters, they are gentler on the skin and less likely to dry it out.

Can your soaps be used for intimate hygiene? If so, which ones?

As far as we know, intimate hygiene products should have a slightly acidic pH of 5.5 or less - while the pH of our soaps is usually around 8-8.5. Regular use of soap on intimate areas could therefore cause dryness and sensitivity and disturb the natural bacterial flora. It is worth noting, however, that soap can be used on areas around the intimate zone, e.g. the groin.

What happens to soap after its expiry date - can I still use it?

As a cosmetics manufacturer, we put a best-before date on every product package. This is the period during which we take full responsibility for the product's suitability for use. Unfortunately, after this date, you use the product at your own risk.

I have sensitive skin and can't decide between the Rice and Calendula soaps. How do they differ?

Both soaps feel very similar during washing - gentle, fragrance-free and suitable for sensitive skin. In terms of ingredients, Calendula stands out with carotene and pot marigold macerate, which offer additional caring properties (as well as a decorative touch in the form of embedded calendula petals). Rice, on the other hand, is the simplest form of an ultra-gentle soap for minimalists - without any particles, yet doing its job perfectly.

Why are Rice and Calendula more expensive than your other soaps?

These are the two gentlest soaps in our range, created for sensitive, irritated and delicate skin prone to allergies or dryness. That's why they contain twice as many unsaponified oils and butters (compared to our other soaps), which care for the skin while washing - hence the slightly higher price.
