All our soaps are handcrafted products. The ingredients are combined by hand, poured into wooden moulds, then hand-cut and stamped, or threaded onto strings (in some cases). As a result, they may differ slightly from one another in both colour and shape (depending on the batch). The recipe we use ensures they are gentle on the skin while also lathering well and lasting a long time. Between uses, however, please keep them in a dry place - on a draining soap dish or a rack.

The percentage of ingredients of natural origin is rounded to 1 decimal place and may change following updates to ISO regulations.

To make sure the products you receive are always fresh, we only send cosmetics with a shelf life of more than 6 months (except for bath bomb halves and samples, which have a minimum of 3 months). This does not apply to products marked as "Outlet" or "Short date".

The photos show example arrangements featuring the product. The price does not include decorative elements and applies to 1 unit of the described product.

The soap gives a strong scrub, has a warm coffee-and-spice scent, doesn't dry out the skin - leaves it refreshed and smooth. It exceeded my expectations in the best possible way.

Pleasantly scratchy, the perfect soap for those who want to kill two birds with one stone. The soap moisturizes nicely, and the coffee grains exfoliate. A very convenient option.

This is one of THOSE scents. It brings back some good memories. They're elusive, but they bring a sense of safety to the body. It's like coming back to a home you no longer remember very well.

FAQ

Questions and answers about the product

Can I wash my face with your soaps?

That's a tricky question, so allow us to answer it in a bit more detail. Soaps (both bar and liquid) are designed mainly for body care because of their higher, alkaline pH, which can sensitise the delicate protective barrier of facial skin. Due to its unique structure, facial skin, which has a slightly acidic pH, needs gentler care. Based on our knowledge and experience, products with a pH lower than alkaline are recommended here. For every skin type, soap may unfortunately do more harm than good. Because of its alkaline pH, it raises the pH of facial skin, which can lead to dryness, an unpleasant feeling of tightness, or excess sebum production and breakouts. Of course, this is a very individual matter - some of our customers can't imagine washing their face with anything other than soap (e.g. our charcoal soap), but we always kindly remind them to use a toner or hydrosol afterwards to bring the skin's pH back to its proper level. Our soaps are exceptionally gentle - most of our recipes are superfatted by a few percent. This means that a few percent of the oils and butters remain unchanged, nourishing the skin as you wash. The face, however, is an especially delicate area that needs extra care and attention. To find out whether our soap suits your face, simply give it a try: work up a lather in your hands and gently massage it in with circular motions, avoiding the eye and mouth area. Then rinse your face with lukewarm water and apply a toner/hydrosol. If your skin doesn't feel dry or tight, everything is working as it should :)

How long does a 100 g bar of soap last?
That's a really tough question! How long a bar lasts depends on how many people use it and how often. When a bar sits on a soap dish by the sink in a single person's home and is stored properly (which in practice means not leaving it soaking in water), it usually lasts more than a month. Our soaps are very long-lasting.
Are your soaps good for washing hair?
The real question here is: "Is soap good for washing hair at all?". Yes, you can successfully wash your hair with soap. Keep in mind, however, that soap is by nature an alkaline product. It opens up the hair cuticles well and removes impurities effectively. Unfortunately, it doesn't close them again. This isn't a problem for short hair or dreadlocks (for dreads it's actually beneficial). If you have long hair, though, open cuticles can make it feel stiff and cause breakage. In that case, remember to occasionally finish your wash with a rinse made of one tablespoon of wine or apple cider vinegar mixed with a glass of lukewarm water. This rinse closes the cuticles, leaving hair softer.
Can I wash children with your soaps?
Of course! Take a look at our range of super-gentle soaps. These recipes contain 10% unrefined shea butter and 6% unsaponified oils and butters - they are truly very gentle. However, as far as we know, in the first weeks or even months of a baby's life, washing young skin with soap is generally unnecessary, apart from the nappy area. Plain warm water with a few drops of oil (e.g. sweet almond oil) and a spoonful of mother's milk works much better. Babies primarily need protection and care for their skin. Older kids, on the other hand (if they have no diagnosed skin allergies), can be scrubbed with most of our soaps. Pineapple soaps are especially popular with children - they lather well and smell amazing. Carrots with a bird are also well loved.
Do your soaps get mushy or soft on the soap dish?

Our soaps are formulated to soften as little as possible in the soap dish - however, a lot depends on how they are stored.

We recommend using soap dishes with a drainage hole or holes that let water flow away freely, so the soap can dry out between uses and won't dissolve :)

If you still have concerns, we recommend our Rosemary or Lavender soap. These soaps come on a string, which means they don't have to sit in a soap dish - you can hang them anywhere in your bathroom, e.g. on the tap or a handle next to the shower or bathtub.

Do your soaps dry out the skin? Which of your soaps is the most moisturising?

Please keep in mind that traditional bar soap, as a strong cleanser with an alkaline pH, will never moisturise the skin :( Its job is to remove excess sebum, sweat and other impurities from the skin's surface, which may disrupt the natural hydrolipid barrier. However, our range includes the Calendula and Rice soaps - products dedicated to sensitive skin. They cleanse just as effectively, but thanks to a higher content of unsaponified oils and butters, they are gentler on the skin and less likely to dry it out.

Can your soaps be used for intimate hygiene? If so, which ones?

As far as we know, intimate hygiene products should have a slightly acidic pH of 5.5 or lower - whereas the pH of our soaps is usually around 8-8.5. Regularly washing intimate areas with soap could therefore cause dryness, hypersensitivity and disruption of the natural bacterial flora. It is worth noting, however, that soap can be used on areas near the intimate zone, e.g. the groin.

What happens to soap after its expiry date - can I still use it?

As a cosmetics manufacturer, we print a best-before date on every product package. This is the period during which we take full responsibility for the product's suitability for use. Unfortunately, once this date has passed, you use the product at your own risk.

Which soap exfoliates more strongly - Cucumber or Coffee?
The strength of exfoliation is very individual - everyone perceives it differently, for example depending on how sensitive their skin is. We would say both exfoliate equally thoroughly, although Cucumber may feel harsher - the powdered coral particles are smaller and harder than the coffee grounds in Coffee.
