All our soaps are handcrafted products. The ingredients are combined by hand, poured into wooden moulds, then hand-cut and stamped, or threaded onto strings (in some cases). As a result, each soap may differ slightly in colour and shape (depending on the batch). The recipe used to make them ensures they are gentle on the skin, as well as rich-lathering and long-lasting. Between uses, however, please keep them in a place away from water - on a draining soap dish or a rack.

The percentage of ingredients of natural origin is given to approximately 1 decimal place and may change based on updates to ISO standards.

To make sure the products you receive are always fresh, we only send cosmetics with a shelf life of more than 6 months (except bath bomb halves and samples, which have a minimum of 3 months). This does not apply to products marked as "Outlet" or "Short date".

The photos show example arrangements featuring the product. The price does not include decorative elements and applies to 1 unit of the product described.

This bar is awkward, I find this soap hard to use.
I fell for the magic of the colour and bought two more, there happened to be a sale on. Oh well, maybe my husband will be happy.

Great rosemary soap - you can feel the freshness and energy right away. It cleanses thoroughly, and the rosemary particles gently exfoliate the skin, leaving it smooth and refreshed. Thanks to the natural ingredients, my face and body feel truly clean and comfortable. A big plus for the distinct, lively scent that gives me a boost in the morning!

I'm not (or maybe I wasn't? :)) a fan of bar soaps. But this rosemary one - I got it as a gift - I have to admit it works great. It doesn't dry out the skin, has a delicate scent, and the string really does the trick :)

FAQ

Questions and answers about the product

Can I wash my face with your soaps?

This is a tricky question, so allow us to answer it in a little more detail. Soaps (both bar and liquid) are intended mainly for body care because of their higher, alkaline pH, which can sensitise the delicate protective barrier of facial skin. Due to its particular structure, facial skin, which has a slightly acidic pH, needs gentler care. Based on our knowledge and experience, products with a pH lower than alkaline are recommended here. For every skin type, soap may unfortunately do more harm than good. Because it has an alkaline pH, it raises the pH of facial skin, which may lead to dryness, an unpleasant feeling of tightness, or excess sebum production and breakouts. Of course, this is very individual - some of our customers cannot imagine washing their face with anything other than soap (e.g. our charcoal soap), but we always kindly remind them to use a toner or hydrosol to bring the skin's pH back to its proper level. Our soaps are exceptionally gentle - most of our recipes are superfatted by a few percent. This means that a few percent of the oils and butters remain unchanged, caring for the skin while you wash. However, the face is an especially delicate area that requires special attention and care. To find out whether our soap will suit your face, simply give it a try: work it into a lather in your hands and gently massage the foam in circular motions, avoiding the eye and mouth area. Then rinse your face with lukewarm water and apply a toner/hydrosol. If your skin does not feel dry or tight - everything is working as it should :)

How long does a 100 g bar of soap last?
That is a very tough question! How quickly a bar is used up depends on how many people use it and how often. When a bar sits on a soap dish by the sink in a single person's home and is stored properly (which in practice means not leaving it soaking in water), it usually lasts longer than a month. Our soaps are very long-lasting.
Are your soaps good for washing hair?
The real question here is: "Is soap good for washing hair at all?". Yes, you can successfully wash your hair with soap. However, remember that soap is by nature an alkaline product. It opens the hair cuticles well and removes impurities effectively. Unfortunately, it does not close them again. This is not a problem for short hair or dreadlocks (for dreadlocks it is actually beneficial). If you have long hair, however, open cuticles cause a feeling of stiffness and breakage of the hair structure. In that case, remember to use a rinse every now and then after washing, made from one tablespoon of wine or apple cider vinegar mixed with a glass of lukewarm water. This rinse closes the cuticles, leaving hair softer.
Can I wash children with your soaps?
Of course! We invite you to explore our range of super-gentle soaps. These recipes contain 10% unrefined shea butter and 6% unsaponified oils and butters - they are truly very gentle. However, as far as we know, in the first weeks or even months of a baby's life, washing young skin with soap is generally unnecessary, apart from the nappy area. Warm water with a few drops of oil (e.g. sweet almond oil) and a spoonful of breast milk works much better. Babies primarily need protection and care for their epidermis. Older kids, on the other hand (if they have no diagnosed skin allergies), can be scrubbed with most of our soaps. Pineapple soaps are especially popular with children, as they lather well and smell amazing. Carrots with a bird are also a favourite.
Do your soaps get mushy/soft on the soap dish?

Our soaps are formulated to soften as little as possible in the soap dish - however, a lot depends on how they are stored.

We recommend using soap dishes with a drainage hole or holes, so water can flow away freely and your soap can dry out instead of dissolving :)

If you still have concerns, we recommend our Rosemary or Lavender soap. These soaps come on a string, which means they don't need to sit in a soap dish - you can hang them anywhere in your bathroom, e.g. on the tap or on a handle next to the shower or bath.

Do your soaps dry out the skin? Which of your soaps is the most moisturising?

Please remember that traditional bar soap, as a strong cleansing product with an alkaline pH, will never moisturise the skin :( Its job is to remove excess sebum, sweat and other impurities from the skin's surface, which may disrupt the natural hydrolipid barrier. However, our range includes Calendula and Rice soaps - products dedicated to sensitive skin. They cleanse just as effectively, but thanks to a higher content of unsaponified oils and butters, they are gentler on the skin and less likely to dry it out.

Can your soaps be used for intimate hygiene? If so, which ones?

As far as we know, intimate hygiene products should have a slightly acidic pH of 5.5 or lower - whereas the pH of our soaps is usually around 8-8.5. Regular use of soap on intimate areas could therefore lead to dryness, hypersensitivity and disruption of the natural bacterial flora. It is worth noting, however, that soap can be used on the areas around intimate parts, e.g. the groin.

What happens to soap after its expiry date - can I still use it?

As a cosmetics manufacturer, we put a best-before date on every product package. This is the period during which we take full responsibility for the product's suitability for use. Unfortunately, once this date has passed, you use the product at your own risk.

Can I order other soaps on a string? Can I order personalised soaps in a different colour or size?

We are always delighted when you ask us this question. Unfortunately, soap personalisation usually involves high costs. However, if you have any further questions about this, our Ola ([email protected]) will be happy to help.

Does the Rosemary soap exfoliate? Are the rosemary bits on top of the soap scratchy?

The dried rosemary leaves serve only as a decoration on top of the bar and are not found inside - which is why this is not an exfoliating soap. If you lather up using the top of the bar, the leaves will gently massage your body, but they will rinse away quite quickly.
