Tripelargonin

Tripelargonin

Tripelargonin is an ester of glycerin and pelargonic acid, a short-chain fatty acid obtained from plants. It has a very light, dry-touch texture and absorbs quickly.

In cosmetics it works as an emollient: it smooths and softens the skin, helps the product spread effortlessly and gives a velvety finish without a greasy film. You will find it in our face creams and serums, body lotions, body and beard oils, and lip scrub.

Did you know?: Tripelargonin is a triglyceride of pelargonic acid, which takes its name from the pelargonium (geranium) - this acid occurs naturally in its essential oil.
