Iron Oxides, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499
Iron oxides (mineral pigments)
Iron oxides are mineral pigments: CI 77491 is red, CI 77492 is yellow and CI 77499 is black. By combining them in different proportions, a whole range of beiges and browns matching skin tones can be achieved. Cosmetics use oxides produced under controlled conditions, which makes them pure and consistent.
Mineral pigments are stable, do not fade in light and are well tolerated by the skin. In our cosmetics they give colour to face foundations - every shade is created from their blend.
Did you know?: Iron oxides are pigments humans have known since the dawn of time - ochre, used for cave paintings, owes its colour to them
