Polyglyceryl-2 oleate

Polyglyceryl-2 oleate is made by combining oleic acid (found in olive oil, among others) with polyglycerin, which is made of linked glycerin molecules. It is a gentle emulsifier that works well in water-in-oil emulsions.

In a cosmetic, it keeps oil and water together in one uniform blend, so the product doesn't separate and glides smoothly over the skin. It also gently softens the skin along the way. You'll find it in our moisturising face foundations.
