NMF complex (amino acids, sodium lactate and PCA)

NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor) is a blend of compounds found in the stratum corneum that bind water and protect the skin from dryness. It consists mainly of amino acids, pyrrolidone carboxylic acid (PCA) and its salt, lactates and urea.

In our cosmetics, we use a complex that recreates this composition: amino acids (including alanine, serine, glycine, arginine and proline), PCA, sodium PCA and sodium lactate. It replenishes what the skin loses during cleansing, in air-conditioned rooms or in winter.

The NMF complex provides lasting hydration, improves the skin's softness and elasticity and helps keep the stratum corneum in good condition. You'll find it in our creams, serums and toners.

Did you know?: Amino acids make up around 40% of the natural moisturising factor (NMF) the skin produces on its own - which is why an amino acid complex feels so "familiar" to it.
