Saccharide Isomerate

Saccharide isomerate

Saccharide isomerate is a plant-derived carbohydrate complex whose composition resembles the natural sugars found in the skin's outer layer. It is obtained from glucose through isomerization, a process that rearranges its molecules.

Unlike many humectants, it doesn't just sit on the skin's surface - it binds to the keratin of the outer layer, so it doesn't wash off easily and keeps skin hydrated for a long time. It smooths, eases the feeling of tightness and leaves skin softer.

You'll find it in our face creams, foundations, micellar waters, body and lip balms, and shower gel.

Did you know?: It is made from glucose, usually from corn, whose molecules are rearranged through isomerization - hence the word isomerate in its name.
