Lactobacillus/Eriodictyon Californicum Ferment Extract

Yerba Santa ferment

Yerba Santa (Eriodictyon californicum) is an aromatic shrub native to California and northern Mexico. Its leaves are rich in flavonoids. Cosmetics use a ferment created with the help of lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus), which is gentle on the skin.

The ferment helps retain water on the skin's surface, boosting hydration levels, and supports the skin's natural balance. At the same time, it helps protect the cosmetic itself, which is why it often replaces some of the conventional preservatives.

You'll find it in creams, serums, toners and hydrosols.
