Sodium Citrate
Sodium citrate
Sodium citrate is a salt of citric acid. In cosmetics it acts as a buffer: together with citric acid, it sets the product's pH at a skin-friendly level and keeps it from shifting over time. It also binds metal ions present in water, which helps keep the formula, scent and colour stable.
In our range you will find it in creams, serums, toners, micellar waters, foundations, shower gels, facial cleansing foams and hair mists.
Did you know?: The same compound is used as a food additive labelled E331 - it gives some drinks a slightly salty-sour taste
