Alanine

Alanine is an amino acid naturally present in the stratum corneum. It is part of the natural moisturising factor (NMF), a blend of compounds that bind water in the skin and protect it from drying out.

In cosmetics, alanine usually works alongside other amino acids, PCA and sodium lactate. It replenishes what the skin loses during cleansing or in dry air, improving its softness and hydration.

You will find it in our micellar waters, facial cleansing foams, creams, serums, foundations and hair conditioners.
