Pure, unrefined, organic shea butter. Melted at a low temperature (up to 50°C), it keeps all its beneficial properties. Shea butter (also known as Karite butter) is a classic of natural skincare. This wonderful, versatile balm is obtained from the nuts of an African tree called the shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa).
Hypoallergenic, suitable for babies and children as well as for dry, sensitive, atopic and irritation-prone skin.
Shea butter takes care of everything that needs attention, tenderness and regeneration. Its high content of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids (including oleic, stearic and linoleic acid) makes shea butter excellent at preventing excessive water loss from the epidermis, which translates into an increase in skin hydration - by over 33%.
Unrefined shea butter contains vitamins A, E and F as well as unsaponifiable fractions that help keep skin in good condition and support its regeneration and collagen synthesis. Allantoin (found, among others, in cosmetics for sensitive, dry and irritated skin) calms, soothes and reduces redness. Shea deeply nourishes and smooths, protects, reduces skin roughness by as much as 44% and supports the skin's regenerative processes. We highly recommend Shea - it's totally lovable!
The shea butter we offer at Ministerstwo is unrefined and organic - depending on the batch, its scent may be more or less noticeable, ranging from buttery-nutty to sour and smoky. This is a natural characteristic of this raw material.
Vegan cosmetic.

Body butter: Warm a portion of butter in your hands. Apply to cleansed skin and gently massage in until fully absorbed.
Bath additive: Add a small amount of butter to your bath. Be careful when getting out - the tub may be slippery!
Eye butter/serum: Apply to cleansed skin moistened (e.g. with a hydrosol). Gently massage in with circular motions until fully absorbed. Note: Do not apply shea butter directly to the eyelids or too close to the lash line, so that the product does not get into your eyes.
In our climate, shea butter is fairly hard and sometimes slightly grainy - so using it takes a little patience and practice. Scoop a small amount from the jar and slowly melt it in your hands (the butter melts at just under 40°C). In summer it is of course easier and Shea is more forgiving to use. You can also "soften" the butter by placing the jar in a warm water bath.
Avoid direct contact with eyes. For external use only. Store in a cool, dry and shaded place.

The butter moisturizes well. Nice consistency. I use it all over my body. I recommend it.
Deeply moisturizing. Pleasant scent. Multifunctional.
This butter has a horrible smell, reminiscent of manure. It's not just my opinion - I gave it to five members of my household to sniff, and each of them ran away and said the same thing! I don't know if something is wrong with it, I know shea butter has a specific smell (a bit latex-like), I've had butters from various brands many times, but I've never smelled this strange odour of cow dung.
The best Shea butter I've ever had, and I've been using ones from different brands for a long time - excellent quality, I never part with it, I use it on my lips, under my eyes, on my hands and body, this butter is perfect
Despite the scent, which isn't for me, the butter does its job. It moisturises the skin perfectly, leaving it soft and hydrated. I recommend it.
