Hydrolyzed Cottonseed Extract
Cottonseed oligosaccharides
Hydrolysed cottonseed extract is a blend of oligosaccharides, or short sugar chains. In our cosmetics it works as part of a sugar complex, together with trehalose, fructose, sucrose and inositol, among others.
These sugars bind water on the skin's surface and in the epidermis, deeply moisturise, nourish and reduce roughness. They form a light, cocooning layer on the skin that helps it stay soft and smooth for longer.
You'll find them in our face creams and serums, overnight cream mask and toners.
Did you know?: Cotton fibre grows from the husk of its seeds. In cosmetics, however, only the seeds are used, and hydrolysis turns them into small sugars.
