Octyldodecanol

Octyldodecanol is a branched fatty alcohol with the texture of a light oil. Despite the word "alcohol" in its name, it does not dry out the skin - it works completely differently from ethyl alcohol.

On the skin it acts as an emollient: it softens and smooths, improves slip and helps creams spread easily and absorb quickly. It also helps dissolve other oil-based ingredients in the formula. You will find it in our face creams, moisturising serum and overnight cream mask.
