Molasses
Molasses
Molasses is a by-product of making sugar from sugar cane or sugar beets. It contains sugars that did not crystallize, along with minerals and other natural plant compounds.
In cosmetics, it works as part of a sugar complex: it binds water in the epidermis, moisturizes and nourishes the skin, reduces roughness and wraps it in a delicate protective layer. It pairs beautifully with other sugars, such as trehalose and fructose.
You'll find it in our sugar line: face cream, lightweight serum, moisturizing toner and overnight cream mask.
Did you know?: Molasses is the thick, dark syrup that remains after sugar crystallizes. Cane molasses is also used to make rum.
