Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate

Radish ferment

Radish ferment is created when Leuconostoc lactic acid bacteria ferment radish root. During fermentation, they produce peptides that naturally inhibit the growth of unwanted microbes.

This allows the ferment to act as a gentle preservative in cosmetics - it helps reduce or replace conventional preservatives. At the same time, it moisturizes and conditions the skin.

We use it especially in hydrosols, toners, creams and serums - wherever the formula contains water and the product needs protection.

Did you know?: Leuconostoc bacteria, which ferment radish, are the same ones responsible for sauerkraut and Korean kimchi
