Citronellol

Citronellol

Citronellol is a fragrance compound found in rose, geranium and citronella oils, among others. It enters our cosmetics with essential oils or a fragrance blend and gives them a rosy, slightly citrusy note.

EU law requires citronellol to be listed by name in the ingredients, so people with allergies can avoid it. You'll find it in our bath bombs, lotions, serums, shampoos and lip products, especially in our rose-scented lines.

Did you know?: Citronellol is named after citronella grass, whose oil contains it. Yet it's most associated with roses - it's one of the key components of their scent
