Allantoin is a compound naturally present in certain plants, including comfrey, wheat germ and beetroot. Cosmetics usually use its pure, nature-identical form, which is stable and very well tolerated.

It soothes irritation and redness, calming the skin after shaving or when it feels dry. It softens rough skin, makes exfoliation easier and supports natural renewal, leaving skin smoother. It is also a great choice for sensitive skin.

Did you know?: Allantoin is named after the allantois, as it was first discovered in allantoic fluid. In nature, it occurs in comfrey root, among others.
