Water

Water is the most common ingredient in cosmetics. It dissolves moisturising ingredients, extracts and actives, and together with oils (thanks to emulsifiers) it creates creams and lotions with a light, pleasant texture. It helps the product spread easily and absorb quickly.

A water-based cosmetic needs protection against microbial growth, so it always goes hand in hand with a gentle preservative system. In our range, you'll find water in creams, lotions, shampoos, conditioners, micellar waters, mists and foundations, among others.

Did you know?: In EU ingredient lists, water appears under its Latin name "Aqua". Ingredients are listed from the highest amount down, which is why water so often comes first.
