Biodegradable cosmetic glitter for decorating the body and face.
Frosty colour - semi-transparent, champagne, pearly, snowy.

Glitter freckles serve no purpose other than decoration. Or maybe they serve every purpose? After all, how do you put a price on 10 grams of pure fun these days? We have tested these shimmering flecks not only at parties and festivals, but also at work, at the shops and at the hummus bar. They are brilliant. They sit cheekily on your cheeks, catching stray rays of sunlight and reflecting them joyfully.

Our glitter can be applied with a special glitter glue, but it will also stick if you coat your skin with lip balm, body butter or a sticky oil.
Glitter is part of our everyday life, and we wish the same for you - may your faces sparkle and bring smiles to passers-by, and may your children and loved ones, dogs and friends shine too.
That is what we need when times get tough. A simple, sincere smile.

NOTE: If you apply glitter to the mobile eyelid or close to the eye, make sure it is firmly secured - use a special cosmetic glitter glue. Otherwise, the glitter may fall off and irritate the delicate mucous membrane of the eye.

Apply a cream, oil or lip balm to the skin, or use cosmetic glitter glue.
With a clean, dry finger, pick up a little glitter and press it onto the skin. Applied this way, the glitter will stay on the skin for several hours.
CAUTION: If you apply glitter to the mobile eyelid or near the eye, make sure it is firmly attached - use a special cosmetic glitter glue. Otherwise the glitter may fall off and irritate the delicate mucous membrane of the eye.

Questions and answers about the product

What should I use to apply Facegroovin' bio glitter?
Glitter is best applied with a special cosmetic glitter glue, available from selected makeup brands. You can also use skincare products you already have - from the Ministerstwo range, we especially recommend the Honey lip balm-mask, our regenerating balm sticks or your favourite face oil/serum/cream :)
Can I apply the glitter to my eyelids?
Facegroovin' bio glitters can be used in eye makeup, but we recommend taking the utmost care when applying them and securing the glitter with a specialist cosmetic glitter glue to prevent particles from getting into the eye - glitter may fall off and irritate the delicate mucous membrane of the eye.
How long do glitter freckles stay on the skin?
How long the glitter stays on your skin depends on two factors - the product you use to stick the particles on, and how often you instinctively touch and rub your skin afterwards ;) In our experience, well-applied glitter that is left alone can easily last on the face for over ten hours.
How do I remove glitter from my skin?
Our bio freckles/glitters wash off the skin easily with water alone, but it is important for your skin to thoroughly remove the product the glitter was applied with - for this, it is best to reach for a trusted makeup remover and face cleanser, such as our Rose-Raspberry cleansing oil or Apricot foam :)
Do you plan to introduce bio glitter samples?
We do not plan to sell bio glitter samples. However, we encourage you to share and swap colours with your loved ones - a 10 g tin holds plenty of goodness to go around :) If you are able to visit our brick-and-mortar shops or a partner store, we invite you to see and try the glitter testers in person :)
Can glitter freckles cause allergies?
Any product applied to the skin can cause an allergic reaction, especially if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Before first use, we recommend doing a patch test on the inside of your elbow.
Are Fg' bio glitters waterproof?
No, the glitters themselves are not waterproof and wash off easily with water. However, there may be a waterproof cosmetic glitter glue on the market that could provide a long-lasting effect even in contact with water :)
How do I choose a freckle/glitter colour to suit my looks?
There are several things to consider when choosing a glitter colour - your colouring, your preferred makeup palette or the colour of the jewellery you wear. Preferences for the effect may also vary - whether it should be subtle or visible from afar ;) If you are unsure which glitter colour to choose and need help, we invite you to read a dedicated post on our blog :)
Are glitter freckles vegan?
Unfortunately, due to a small amount of shellac - a natural resin secreted by lac insects - our glitters are not vegan :( They are, however, suitable for vegetarians.
Do Facegroovin' bio glitters contain mica?
Yes, depending on the colour, the glitters contain a blend of synthetic and/or mineral mica. We would also like to point out that the mineral mica used in our glitters comes from the USA - its mining is regulated by national laws setting out occupational health and safety standards.
Can I wash the freckles down the sink/bath?
Yes, our glitter freckles are fully biodegradable in fresh water, so you can safely wash them down the sink or bath, and outdoors even into natural bodies of water - they are harmless to fish and other aquatic life :)
Can I apply the freckles with your hydrosol/cream/serum?
To stick to the skin, glitter needs a slightly tacky or oily base - products that don't fully absorb but leave a delicate film on the surface work best. Of the products mentioned, a hydrosol won't do the trick, but a cream or serum certainly will. However, the effect will be slightly less long-lasting and will stay on the skin for a shorter time than with richer, thicker formulas, such as regenerating balm sticks or the Honey lip balm-mask.
Where can I apply bio glitter?
Wherever your imagination takes you ;) Our favourite ways to wear glitter are on the nose and cheeks as sparkly glitter freckles, on the tops of the cheekbones instead of highlighter, on the décolletage and collarbones, or as an accent in eye makeup :) When applying glitter to the eyelids, however, we recommend extra care and using a special cosmetic glitter glue so that the particles don't get into the eye.
Do you offer glitter in a different size?
Unfortunately not - our glitters are only available in packs containing 10 grams of product.
Are you planning to mix the current colours?
We have no such plans at the moment. Our current range includes Rainbow Freckles glitter, a blend of four colours: blue, green, red and muted gold. If you'd like a mix of other shades, consider buying glitters together with a friend and mixing the colours yourselves :)
How many uses does 10 g of glitter give? Is it long-lasting?
It all depends on how often you apply the glitter, how much you use and how large an area of skin you cover. Care when opening the pack and applying the glitter also matters a lot, as does keeping the pack away from curious little hands ;) It's hard to give a precise number of uses - roughly speaking, one pack of glitter can last for dozens of applications.
I have oily skin - can I apply the freckles?
Yes, the freckles can be applied to any skin type. We do recommend choosing the base product they'll be stuck onto according to your skin type :)
Do all the freckles contain two sizes of particles?
Yes, every glitter colour contains particles in two sizes - larger 2.4 mm and smaller 1 mm.
Won't the oily base used under the glitter clog the skin on my cheeks?
A tendency to clogged pores is very individual - if your skin is prone to it, we recommend applying the glitter onto cosmetic glitter glue, dabbed on in a minimal amount.
How do I apply the freckles?
Apply the freckles with a dry finger onto skin previously covered with a thin layer of cosmetic glitter glue or a skincare product with a slightly tacky finish (e.g. the Honey lip balm-mask, an oil, a cream or a Ministerstwo regenerating balm stick).
Can glitter freckles also be used on children?
Yes, the glitter can be used on children's skin, but children should only use it under adult supervision. Since glitter particles are small and could be swallowed by children, we also recommend storing the glitter out of their reach.
