Hydrogenated ethylhexyl olivate

Hydrogenated ethylhexyl olivate is an ester of olive oil fatty acids. Hydrogenation makes it very stable and resistant to rancidity, while combining it with ethylhexyl alcohol gives it a light, non-greasy texture.

It spreads quickly, smooths and softens the skin, and helps limit water loss. It gives cosmetics a silky finish, which is why it is sometimes used as a plant-based alternative to silicones. You will find it in our smoothing overnight cream-mask.
