Lemongrass Oil, Cymbopogon Citratus Leaf Oil

Lemongrass oil

Lemongrass oil is obtained by distilling the leaves of lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus), a plant grown in tropical countries. In Southeast Asian cuisine, lemongrass is a popular spice.

The oil has an intense, fresh scent reminiscent of lemon zest. In cosmetics it refreshes, awakens the senses and blends beautifully with spicy and floral notes. It contains natural fragrance compounds such as citral and geraniol, which is why we list them separately in the ingredients.

You'll find it in our hand cream, hand and body lotion and bath bombs.

Did you know?: Lemongrass isn't related to lemons at all - it's a grass from the Cymbopogon genus. It owes its lemony scent to citral, which makes up most of its oil.
