Gossypium Herbaceum Seed Oil
Cottonseed oil
Cottonseed oil is obtained from the seeds of Levant cotton (Gossypium herbaceum), a plant grown in warm climates for thousands of years. It has a light texture, spreads easily and doesn't leave a heavy film.
It is rich in linoleic acid, which the skin uses to build its epidermal barrier, as well as natural vitamin E. It softens and smooths the skin, helps reduce water loss and restores comfort to dry, rough skin.
In our cosmetics, you'll find it in face creams and serums, overnight masks, body balms, cleansing oils and beard oil.
Did you know?: Cotton fibers are actually tiny hairs growing on the plant's seeds. Once cleaned, the seeds are pressed for oil, so a single plant gives us both fabric and skincare.
