Carthamus Tinctorius Flower

Safflower flowers

Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) is a plant with vivid orange flowers, cultivated since ancient times. Oil is pressed from its seeds, while its petals have long been used as a natural dye.

In our bath bomb, dried safflower petals serve as a natural decoration - they spread out in the water and add colour to your bath.

Did you know?: Safflower has been used for centuries to dye fabrics yellow and red, and thanks to its colour it is sometimes called "false saffron"
