Succinic Acid
Succinic acid
Succinic acid is an organic acid found naturally in amber, as well as in plants and living organisms, where it takes part in cellular energy processes. For cosmetics, it is usually obtained through fermentation.
It smooths the skin and refines its texture, helps balance sebum production and minimise the look of pores. It supports the skin's natural renewal processes, leaving the complexion looking rested and more radiant.
You will find it in our smoothing night cream-mask.
Did you know?: Succinic acid takes its name from amber (Latin "succinum") - it was first obtained by distilling this fossil resin. Baltic amber is especially rich in it.
