Geraniol

Geraniol

Geraniol is a terpene alcohol with a delicate, rosy scent. It occurs naturally in many essential oils - including rose, palmarosa, geranium and citronella - and enters a cosmetic together with them or with a fragrance blend.

It is one of the fragrance ingredients that EU law requires to be listed by name when its concentration exceeds a set threshold. This makes it easy for people with allergies to recognise and avoid it. You'll find it in our soaps, bath bombs, lotions, creams, lipsticks and hair care products.

Did you know?: Geraniol takes its name from the pelargonium (formerly classified in the genus Geranium), from whose oil it was first isolated.
