Butyrospermum Parkii Butter Unsaponifiables

Shea butter unsaponifiables

The unsaponifiable fraction is the part of a fat that does not turn into soap when it comes into contact with an alkali. Shea butter is exceptionally rich in it, and it consists of phytosterols, triterpene alcohols and natural vitamin E, among others. In cosmetics, it is used as a concentrated active ingredient.

It strengthens the skin's protective barrier, helps limit water loss, and softens and smooths the skin. It supports the renewal of dry, rough skin exposed to wind or frost, and on the lips it helps keep them soft and supple.

In our range, you will find it in body balms, protective lip balms, lip balms and lip scrubs, as well as in our face scrub.

Did you know?: For a plant fat, shea butter contains an exceptionally high amount of unsaponifiables - and that is where many of its skincare benefits come from.
