Saccharomyces/Copper Ferment
Yeast ferment with copper
Saccharomyces/Copper Ferment is created when Saccharomyces yeast is grown in a copper-rich environment. As it grows, the yeast incorporates the mineral into its cells, and fermentation yields copper bound to proteins and other yeast components.
Copper is an important element for the skin - it takes part in processes related to building collagen and elastin fibres and in protection against oxidative stress. In cosmetics, the copper ferment supports skin renewal, firmness and good condition. It is usually combined with ferments of other minerals, such as zinc, magnesium, iron and silicon.
You'll find it in our moisturising face cream.
