Salvia Officinalis Leaf Extract

Sage leaf extract

Common sage (Salvia officinalis) is an aromatic subshrub from the Mediterranean region. Its leaves contain essential oil, rosmarinic acid, flavonoids and tannins.

Sage extract refreshes the skin, has a mild astringent effect and helps regulate sebum production, making it a great choice for oily-prone skin and scalp. Its polyphenols act as antioxidants. In hair care products, it supports a fresh scalp.

In our cosmetics, you will find it in our shower gel, bath bomb, and hair styling pre-styler and clay.

Did you know?: The name sage (Salvia) comes from the Latin "salvare", meaning "to save, to heal" - in past centuries it was considered one of the most precious herbs.
