Bentonite
Bentonite
Bentonite is a clay formed from weathered volcanic ash, composed mainly of montmorillonite. In contact with water it swells into a thick gel, while also absorbing excess sebum.
In cosmetics it helps create a pleasant, stable cream texture, improves spreadability and leaves a slightly matte finish. In our range you will find it in our face creams and hand cream.
Did you know?: Bentonite is named after the Benton Shale rock formation in the USA, which in turn was named after Fort Benton in Montana.
