Copaifera Officinalis Resin
Copaiba balsam
Copaiba balsam is an oleoresin obtained from the trunks of Copaifera trees growing in the Amazon rainforest. For centuries it has been part of traditional skincare rituals in South America. It consists largely of sesquiterpenes, including beta-caryophyllene.
In cosmetics it soothes the feeling of irritation, smooths the skin and supports its renewal. It helps keep the complexion balanced and gives products a delicate, warm, resinous scent.
In our range you will find copaiba balsam in our face serum and beard oil.
Did you know?: Copaiba balsam is harvested by tapping the tree trunk - the resin flows out much like maple syrup, and the tree keeps on growing.
