Lactobacillus

Lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus)

Lactobacillus is a genus of lactic acid bacteria that naturally live on human skin and in the digestive tract, among other places. In cosmetics, they are used in a form that does not multiply in the product but retains components beneficial to the skin.

They support the balance of the skin microbiome - the community of microorganisms that help keep it in good condition. They strengthen the protective barrier, help soothe sensitive skin and increase its resilience to external factors.

In our cosmetics, you'll find them in our face cream and body scrub.

Did you know?: Lactobacillus bacteria are behind yogurt, kefir and fermented vegetables - they are the ones that turn sugars into lactic acid
