Behenyl alcohol

Behenyl alcohol is a long-chain, plant-derived fatty alcohol with a waxy texture. Despite the word "alcohol" in its name, it does not dry out the skin.

In cosmetics it thickens and stabilizes emulsions, improves their texture and makes creams richer. On the skin it acts as an emollient - softening and smoothing it. You'll find it in our smoothing night cream-mask.

Did you know?: Behenic acid, which gives behenyl alcohol its name, was discovered in ben oil, pressed from moringa seeds
