Super-nourishing day and night face cream - Rose-Raspberry Jam
The Jam is a face cream rich in active ingredients, vitamins and coenzyme Q10. Suitable for vegans and lovely-smelling (like a doughnut filled with rose jam!). Packed with natural ingredients, the Rose-Raspberry face cream wins hearts and stays on your mind for a long time. Trust us :). It moisturises, firms, smooths and nourishes - Rose-Raspberry from Ministerstwo Dobrego Mydła is made for dry, tired skin, as well as mature skin and skin prone to redness. It works beautifully in daily care, both morning and evening.
A nourishing face cream for dry and mature skin
Rose-Raspberry is the first face cream from Ministerstwo to fulfil our dream of a cosmetic filled, without compromise, with nothing but good things. The challenge was to combine all the cosmetic raw materials we love in such a way that the final cream would not be too sticky or too greasy, while still containing a really biiiig helping of nourishing ingredients. We worked on the formula for almost two years, reaching for the first time for such advanced, modern cosmetic raw materials as apple stem cells. At first we tried to create a universal cream, but it dawned on us almost immediately that it is hard to reconcile the sometimes extreme needs of different skin types. So the Rose-Raspberry Jam was given the task of satisfying mature, dry skin in need of nourishment. And that is exactly what it does.
A natural rose and raspberry pleasure
The cosmetics that make up the rose-raspberry series from Ministerstwo Dobrego Mydła mean thoughtful, rich compositions, effective formulas and enormous pleasure in using them. What the products in the Rose-Raspberry line share is the use of two natural raw materials - unrefined rosehip seed oil and unrefined raspberry seed oil. Besides the natural oils mentioned above, in the Rose-Raspberry series you will also find carefully selected supporting oils, vitamins, active ingredients and the fragrance of rose jam that has become iconic for the series. The Rose-Raspberry face cream contains as much as 98.2% ingredients of natural origin. The raw materials were chosen to support skin over the age of 25 (when the natural collagen in the skin already begins to decline), as well as dry, slack skin prone to redness. Thanks to innovative active ingredients combined with vitamins, coenzyme Q10 and carefully selected natural oils, the Rose-Raspberry Jam wonderfully nourishes, smooths and moisturises, and applying it regularly increases skin elasticity, reduces redness and diminishes visible signs of ageing - including the length and depth of wrinkles.
After just 4 weeks of regular use of the nourishing Rose-Raspberry Jam cream we observe:
-a 32% increase in skin smoothness,
-a 24.8% increase in skin hydration,
-shallower (by up to 16%) and shorter (by up to 19%) wrinkles,
-a decrease in skin redness,
-an increase in skin elasticity.
Natural ingredients in the Rose-Raspberry face cream
Unrefined plant oils in the nourishing Rose-Raspberry face cream
Rosa Canina Seed Oil - an organic, cold-pressed rosehip seed oil with a beautiful yellow-orange colour. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, including linoleic acid (an omega-6), oleic acid (omega-9) and linolenic acid, as well as natural trans-retinoic acid (vitamin A acid), carotenoids, vitamin E and minerals. It supports skin regeneration, has a positive effect on its elasticity and firmness and helps prevent wrinkles. It smooths and softens the skin and moisturises it intensively by holding water in the epidermis and preventing it from evaporating. Thanks to its vitamin A and C content it supports the production of natural collagen in the skin, brightens discolouration and evens out skin tone. It protects against free radicals and slows down skin ageing.
Rubus Idaeus Seed Oil - our beloved raspberry seed oil, one of the so-called "dry" oils. It "melts" into the skin's own lipid cement and leaves no greasy film - it absorbs quickly, leaving a matte feel on the skin. Made for irritated, dehydrated and sensitive skin. It soothes, adds elasticity and rebuilds the damaged epidermal layer, while also working against wrinkles. It is a source of linoleic, oleic, linolenic, palmitic and stearic acids, and contains high levels of vitamin E and carotenoids that support skin regeneration. Thanks to vitamins A and E, raspberry oil has antioxidant properties, makes the skin more elastic and helps it look younger. On top of that it smooths and moisturises, reducing the visibility of wrinkles. As an absorption promoter, it helps active ingredients penetrate the skin.
Pyrus Malus Seed Oil - cold-pressed apple seed oil is a rich source of unsaturated fatty acids: oleic and linoleic, as well as palmitic, stearic, linolenic and arachidic acids, plus tocopherols and vitamin E. Like raspberry seed oil, it increases fibroblast activity and the production of natural collagen. It softens, nourishes and moisturises the skin.
What (some of) the unsaturated fatty acids found in the plant oils in the Rose-Raspberry cream do
Unsaturated acids:
Oleic acid, one of the omega-9 acids, forms an occlusive layer on the surface of the skin that prevents excessive water loss (an indirectly moisturising effect). It softens the skin and is responsible for increasing its elasticity and firmness. It helps fight off free radicals, reduces the visibility of signs of ageing and soothes dry, chapped skin, redness and irritation.
Linoleic acid from the omega-6 family has a positive effect on maintaining the right level of skin hydration, supports regeneration, protects and evens out skin tone. It plays an important role for dry skin, improving the lipid barrier of the epidermis and protecting it against excessive water loss. It is also a natural component of sebum.
Saturated acids:
Palmitic acid - supports the occlusive effect, helping to reduce TEWL, or transepidermal water loss, while also having a softening effect.
Stearic acid strengthens and rebuilds the skin's lipid barrier and also has an indirectly moisturising effect. What else will we find in the Rose-Raspberry Jam?
Propanediol - a plant-derived glycol produced by fermenting corn glucose. It moisturises effectively and protects against excessive water loss from the epidermis. Thanks to its small molecular structure it penetrates the stratum corneum and helps other active ingredients reach the deeper layers of the epidermis. It stabilises and improves the consistency of the emulsion.
Natural bamboo and radish ferments
Lactobacillus/Arundinaria Gigantea Ferment Filtrate is a natural ferment created by fermenting bamboo water, with properties that are good for the skin. Thanks to its high antioxidant content it supports skin regeneration, strengthens, moisturises and smooths it. You will also find bamboo ferment in our moisturising and elasticity-boosting H2O face cream.
Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate - a radish ferment that acts as a natural preservative, keeping the product microbiologically stable. Fermentation with the lactic acid bacteria Leuconostoc Kimchii yields peptides that additionally raise the skin's hydration level. You will find the very same ferment in all of Ministerstwo's organic hydrolats and in the light, moisturising H2O cream.
Apple stem cells
Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture Extract is an innovative, liposome-encapsulated extract based on the stem cells of a rare Swiss apple with longevity potential. Thanks to a revolutionary technology it is possible to obtain and cultivate plant stem cells in conditions that are safe for the survival of the apple species, and to introduce them in active form into cosmetic products so that they support the longevity of the stem cells present in human skin. Studies have shown a double activity of apple stem cells: the ability to build new cells and to preserve their properties, as well as an anti-wrinkle and anti-ageing effect. Human skin contains two types of stem cells: those located in the hair follicles and those in the basal layer of the epidermis. The quality of the basal layer depends on stem cells capable of continuous division - thanks to their constant divisions, tissue regeneration happens quickly. Stem cells have a limited "lifespan", however - harmful external and internal factors, as well as age, mean that stem cells decrease in number and become less active. Just like the cells of human skin, stem cells obtained from apples retain the ability to renew themselves, thereby helping to preserve the vitality of the stem cells present in the epidermis.
The innovative corneo-mimetic ingredient in the Rose-Raspberry cream
In our Rose-Raspberry cream we included an innovative, corneo-mimetic active ingredient that imitates corneocytes and their surroundings, creating a "second skin" on the surface of the skin. Its task is to protect the skin against unfavourable external factors, renew and regenerate the stratum corneum and improve its appearance: it smooths, softens and brightens the skin. This remarkable "dressing" consists of mineral flakes that imitate and cover the corneocyte and its surroundings - from these flakes minerals are released (concentrated sea water and amino acids to improve NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor), which is responsible for the right level of hydration in the stratum corneum), along with lactates and lipids that strengthen the intercellular cement.
Plant squalane and squalene
Hydrogenated Farnesene is a renewable, extremely light emollient of plant origin, created by fermenting sugar cane. Used in cosmetics (you will find it in our creams and multi-ingredient face and body oils), it gives the skin a smooth, softened feel and makes the formula itself pleasantly light and easy to apply.
Squalane - the sugar cane squalane used in the Rose-Raspberry cream is the most stable form of squalane, the counterpart of squalene, which occurs naturally in our sebum. It works in the same way as squalene, but unlike it, it does not break down under UV rays and oxygen. It is extremely light, absorbs perfectly and, thanks to a structure close to that of squalene, penetrates deep into the skin, restoring its smoothness, elasticity and the right level of hydration. It improves skin tone, softens and reduces the visibility of fine lines.
Squalene - a light, nourishing emollient of plant origin. It helps rebuild the skin's lipid mantle, smooths, firms and strengthens the skin and makes wrinkles shallower.
Coenzyme Q10, vitamins E and C
Ubiquinone, the elixir of youth. The small molecular structure of ubiquinone allows it to reach cells in the deeper layers of the skin and to replenish its deficiencies (which appear in the skin from the age of 30), with a positive effect on, among other things, fibroblast activity. In its structure, coenzyme Q10 is close to vitamin E, with which it works together, increasing its effectiveness. Both ubiquinone and vitamin E inhibit the production by fibroblasts of collagenase - the enzyme responsible for breaking down collagen. They stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen, and so help to smooth fine lines and make the skin more elastic and firm (which has been confirmed in numerous clinical studies) - although in this respect coenzyme Q10 works for longer than vitamin E. It also inhibits the loss of hyaluronic acid in the skin, raising its hydration level. Coenzyme Q10 increases the skin's resistance to harmful factors and delays the changes linked to skin ageing and photoageing. It is thermo- and photostable, which is why it is used in many cosmetics, including those applied during the day.
3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Tocopherol - a stable, synthetic form of vitamin C and natural vitamin E - they add elasticity, work against ageing and help soothe irritation and regenerate the skin. The stable vitamin C contained in the Rose-Raspberry cream is easily absorbed by the skin and highly effective. Working in the deeper layers of the skin, it stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. It smooths wrinkles and prevents premature skin ageing, strengthens skin prone to broken capillaries, evens out skin tone and adds radiance.
Plant extracts and esters
Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract is an extract from liquorice root with high biocompatibility with the skin, thanks to which it is well tolerated and absorbs into the appropriate layers, moisturising, nourishing and supporting regeneration.
Lactobacillus & Cocos Nucifera Fruit Extract is a natural preservative. Its action is based on peptides created when coconut fruit is fermented by Lactobacillus bacteria. Besides its preserving properties it moisturises and conditions the skin.
Punica Granatum Seed Oil Polyglyceryl-4 Esters - a plant-derived substance, a derivative of pomegranate seed oil. It shows high compatibility with the skin, strengthens the lipid barrier of the epidermis, lubricates and softens while inhibiting water loss. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, in phytosterols similar in structure to the sterols found in the intercellular cement, in squalene and in vitamins.
Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters - they help maintain the right level of skin hydration, strengthen its protective functions and act as an emollient.
Phew... that is quite a lot, isn't it? ;)
Who is the Rose-Raspberry Jam cream for?
Closed in a little glass jar, the formula of the rose-raspberry face cream - the Jam - is substantial and filled to the brim with nourishing ingredients. Rose-Raspberry is a solid dose of active ingredients while keeping the cream light, so that it does not weigh the skin down but wraps it in gentle care. Made for dry skin in need of nourishment, for mature skin and for skin prone to broken capillaries. The Jam is a cream we apply to the face with pleasure, every day, both in the morning and in the evening. It pampers and soothes the senses, and after a day full of impressions you come back to it longing for a smile and a moment of relaxation. We firmly believe that after several years of work we have managed to create a genuinely moisturising, smoothing and nourishing cream bomb. That it is what you - ladies, but gentlemen too - have been looking for all along and what will stay in your routine for a long time :). Experience and knowing the whims and changing demands of our own skin tell us, however, that what we dreamed of and what works for some may be a touch too light for others (despite the truly rich composition), and too heavy for yet others. But this is not a dead end. If the Jam is too heavy or too light for you, we have a solution!
The face cream turned out to be too heavy
If your skin is dry and seems to be begging for a proper dose of moisture and you chose the Jam to help it - be warned, this may be love forever :). But it is also possible that the cream will turn out to be... too heavy after all - absorbing too slowly and leaving a film on the skin that we do not want. In that case you can combine the Jam with a hydrolat of your choice. Damask rose hydrolat will beautifully moisturise dry skin, gently tighten mature skin and calm skin prone to redness. The order of application is this: cleanse the face, spritz the cleansed skin with hydrolat and then, on skin that is still damp, apply a portion of the cream. Applying the cream over the hydrolat will thin it slightly, and the moisturising ingredients in the hydrolat will strengthen the effect the face cream gives us.
The face cream turned out to be too light
Despite the rich composition, it may turn out that the skin needs something more, especially in autumn and winter. Let us not give up on our favourite too quickly! If the skin needs a booster - let us give it one! In such a situation you can mix the cream with your favourite oil or serum, remembering to prepare a single portion of this "boosted" cream just before applying it. How do we do it? Take a portion of the cream onto your hand or into a clean little dish, then add a drop (or more, as needed) of serum, squalane or another favourite oil. Mix, then apply the enriched blend to cleansed facial skin, gently massaging or patting it in until absorbed. Adding a drop of oil will enrich the texture of the cream and strengthen its nourishing effect.
Is the Rose-Raspberry cream suitable for day and night use?
That depends on the current needs of your skin, which may change with the season or with age. If you prefer something lighter for the day, you can apply the Jam - as the more substantial, strongly nourishing and moisturising face cream - only in the evening, when the skin has more time to take in the wealth of its ingredients. There is nothing, however, to stop you from applying the cream during your morning routine as well - laboratory tests commissioned by us confirm that the Rose-Raspberry cream can also be used under make-up or under a protective cream with SPF. Finding the golden mean in facial skincare is genuinely no easy art. We search, we read reviews, we practically earn doctorates in INCI, we take aim and... it turns out to be a flop? We hope, though, that our tips will help you enjoy the cosmetics you have chosen and complete your routine on your own terms. Then it will work out. Finally :).
