Organic bay laurel leaf hydrosol
An intensely herbal, organic bay laurel hydrosol sourced from a small French distillery.
Thanks to its antibacterial properties, it is ideal for caring for problem skin prone to breakouts.
It hydrates beautifully (+26%), softens, tones and refreshes. It evens out skin tone, soothes redness and prevents shine, becoming the best friend of every skin type, especially oily, combination and sensitive skin.
We especially recommend Bay Laurel in your morning or evening ritual: cleanse your face and décolleté with it, then apply a drop of your chosen serum or oil (e.g. raspberry seed oil) to the still-damp skin. Your skin stays soft and hydrated.
Bay laurel hydrosol has an acidic pH (close to the skin's natural pH), ranging from 3.3 to 6.
Bay Laurel is a true treasure! As much as 200 g of plant material is used to make 100 ml of hydrosol.

Use as: a toner, a refreshing face and body mist, a base for cream or oil, an addition to clay masks, a hydrating base for hair oiling, a scalp tonic, or a detangling hair spray
Toner/refreshing face and body mist: Spritz your skin using the atomiser or apply the hydrosol to a cotton pad. Leave to dry, or wipe your skin with the cotton pad. If you use a cleansing milk, micellar water or gel, apply the hydrosol after rinsing them off to restore your skin's natural pH and prepare it for the next steps of your routine.
Base for cream or oil: Spritz cleansed skin with the hydrosol and apply cream or a few drops of your favourite oil or serum to the damp skin. Then gently massage or pat in until fully absorbed.
Tip: Applying oils to damp skin makes them go further (two or three drops are enough), makes application easier and reduces the risk of clogged pores. Applying cream to skin dampened with hydrosol not only makes it easier to spread, but also thins out overly heavy formulas and boosts the product's hydrating effect.
Base for hair oiling: Spritz dry hair with your chosen hydrosol from roots to ends. Apply oil or conditioner to the damp hair, cover with a shower cap and leave on for anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour or more. Then wash your hair as usual.
Scalp tonic: Using the atomiser, spray the hydrosol onto your cleansed scalp at the hair roots. Gently massage with your fingertips - the massage helps distribute the product and stimulates microcirculation, strengthening the hair follicles so your hair grows healthier, stronger and shinier.
For external use only. Store in a cool, dry and shaded place.

The hydrosol is amazing for my oily skin - it refreshes it perfectly and keeps it from looking shiny. I've tested many hydrosols already, but this one definitely mattifies the skin
A noticeable but not overpowering laurel scent.
My second favourite hydrosol lately after the rosemary one, great for my oily skin and scalp.
Delighted with the rose hydrosol, I decided to buy the laurel one. It seemed better suited to my complexion. How does it work? Great, I can't fault it at all. My skin loves it. Unfortunately, this is my first and last bottle, because I just can't get used to the scent.
Wonderful
Questions and answers about the product
Absolutely! A hydrosol, especially sprayed onto a cotton pad, can remove light makeup or, for example, leftover traces found on your face in the morning. On its own, however, it won't cope with heavier eye or lip makeup - but you can combine it with any oil (e.g. almond oil) to create a more effective bi-phase remover (when mixing oil with the hydrosol, please remember to prepare a single-use portion in a separate, clean container).
Our hydrosols (like all our products) don't need to be kept in the fridge - what matters is storing them in a shaded place, at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. That said, in summer or in warmer parts of the world, you may enjoy misting your skin with a chilled hydrosol for an extra refreshing boost - in that case, feel free to keep it in the fridge :)
All our hydrosols are enriched with radish root ferment, which acts as a natural preservative, extending the product's shelf life while also providing a hydrating effect :)
During pregnancy, it's always a good idea to consult your current skincare routine (or planned cosmetic purchases) with your doctor. In our experience, however, the hydrosols in our range have not met with any medical objections so far.
