Oryza Sativa Bran Wax
Rice bran wax
Rice bran wax is obtained during the production of rice oil from the outer layer of the rice grain. It is hard, has a high melting point and a light colour, making it a great substitute for beeswax in plant-based cosmetics.
It gives lipsticks and balms the right firmness and stability, and on the skin and lips it forms a thin protective layer that helps reduce moisture loss and shields against wind and frost. In our cosmetics, you will find it in body balms and lipsticks.
Did you know?: Rice wax is a by-product of refining rice bran oil - it separates out of the oil, is removed and then used in cosmetics.
