Glyceryl stearate

Glyceryl stearate is made by combining glycerin with stearic acid, sourced from plant oils and butters. It is one of the most widely used and best-tolerated emulsifiers.

In a cream, it binds the oil and water phases, stabilizes the emulsion and adds body. It leaves a delicate, velvety finish on the skin and helps limit water loss. You'll find it in our face and hand creams and in our body lotion.
