Lanolin Oil

Lanolin oil

Lanolin oil is the liquid part of lanolin - a natural wax obtained while cleaning sheep's wool, with no harm to the animals. It is more fluid and lighter than lanolin itself, so it spreads more easily.

Its structure resembles the skin's own lipids, so it blends well with the skin. It forms a flexible protective layer, reduces water loss, and softens and smooths rough, chapped areas.

In our cosmetics you'll find it in lip balms, where it protects lips from drying out and from frost.

Did you know?: The name lanolin comes from Latin: "lana" means wool and "oleum" means oil. Sheep produce it to protect their wool from water and the weather.
