Cocos Nucifera Oil
Coconut oil
Coconut oil is pressed from the flesh of coconut palm nuts. It is usually solid at room temperature and melts quickly on contact with the skin. It consists mainly of saturated fatty acids, above all lauric acid.
It nourishes and softens the skin, forms a protective layer and helps reduce water loss. In hair it smooths the strands, adding shine and softness, and thanks to its small molecules it wraps closely around the hair structure.
In our cosmetics you'll find it in hair conditioner and soothing face serum.
Did you know?: The name "coco" comes from a Portuguese word meaning head or bogeyman - the three dark spots on the coconut shell reminded sailors of a face.
