Adansonia Digitata Seed Oil, Adansonia Digitata Oil
Baobab oil
Baobab oil is pressed from the seeds of the African baobab (Adansonia digitata), a tree that grows on Africa's dry savannas. It is golden, medium-thick and very stable, so it doesn't go rancid quickly.
It contains a balanced blend of fatty acids - oleic, linoleic and palmitic - as well as phytosterols and vitamin E. It nourishes and softens the skin, improves its elasticity, helps limit water loss and brings comfort to dry and sensitive skin.
In our cosmetics, you'll find it in our soothing face serum, hypoallergenic body lotion and lip balm.
Did you know?: The baobab's genus name, Adansonia, honours French botanist Michel Adanson, who described it in Senegal. Some baobabs live for over a thousand years.
