Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil
Abyssinian oil
Abyssinian oil is pressed from the seeds of Abyssinian crambe (Crambe abyssinica), a plant from the cabbage family. It stands out for its very high erucic acid content, which gives it a light, dry and silky texture.
It absorbs quickly, leaves no greasy film and is highly resistant to oxidation. It smooths and softens the skin, helps limit water loss, and adds shine to hair and beards while making them easier to comb - it works much like silicones, but it is plant-derived.
In our cosmetics, you'll find it in our body lotion and our beard and after-shave oil.
Did you know?: Abyssinia is the former name of Ethiopia. The plant comes from the Mediterranean basin and East Africa, and today it is also grown in Europe and North America.
