Honey

Honey is a natural bee product made up mainly of simple sugars - fructose and glucose - along with water, enzymes, organic acids and small amounts of minerals. It is an ingredient of animal origin.

In cosmetics, it acts as a humectant: it attracts and retains water, moisturising, softening and smoothing the skin. On the lips, it helps soothe dry, chapped skin, and in hair care products it adds softness to the strands.
