Maltodextrin
Maltodextrin
Maltodextrin is a chain of linked glucose molecules formed by breaking down starch. In cosmetics, it binds water, smooths the skin and helps keep the product's texture stable. It is also often used as a carrier for other active ingredients.
In our products, it is part of a sugar complex that hydrates and nourishes the skin. You will find it in our face cream and hair shampoo.
Did you know?: Maltodextrin is obtained by partially breaking down starch, most often from corn or potatoes. You may also know it from food, where it plays similar supporting roles.
