Lauramidopropyl Betaine

Lauramidopropyl betaine

Lauramidopropyl betaine is an amphoteric surfactant derived from lauric acid (found in coconut oil, among others). It is related to the popular cocamidopropyl betaine.

In shampoos it boosts lather, improves texture and softens the action of other cleansing agents, making washing gentler on the scalp. You will find it in our hair shampoos.

Did you know?: Betaines owe their name to the beet (Beta vulgaris), from which betaine was first isolated.
