Sodium Laureth Sulfate
Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES)
Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) is an anionic cleansing agent derived from fatty alcohols, most often from coconut or palm oil. It lathers well and effectively removes sebum, dust and styling product residue.
We use it where strong cleansing is needed - in our deep-cleansing shampoo for the scalp and hair, intended for occasional use. There it works alongside gentler cleansing and caring ingredients.
Did you know?: SLES is made from SLS through ethoxylation - which makes it noticeably gentler on the skin than its predecessor.
