Lactobionic acid

Lactobionic acid belongs to the polyhydroxy acids (PHA), the gentlest group of acids used in cosmetics. Its large molecule works on the surface, calmly and without the stinging typical of stronger acids.

It gently exfoliates dead skin cells and smooths the skin. At the same time, it has many water-attracting groups, so it hydrates intensely, and as an antioxidant it helps protect the skin from free radicals. On the lips, it helps get rid of dry flakes and restores softness.
