Xylitol

Xylitol is a sugar alcohol found naturally in some fruits and plants. Industrially, it is obtained from xylan - a component of birch wood or corn cobs.

In cosmetics, it binds water and helps keep skin hydrated. In lip scrub, its crystals gently exfoliate dry skin while giving the product a pleasant, sweet taste. You will find it in our lip scrub.

Did you know?: The name xylitol comes from the Greek "xylon", meaning wood - it was originally obtained from birch wood, hence its popular name "birch sugar".
